whats this site about?
a few years ago, i attended a day retreat at my church that focused a large amount of attention on world poverty and social justice. although i knew that there were poor people in the world, i had not realized how much richer i was than the majority of the population and how vast a problem world hunger is until i attended that retreat. immediately after, i took an interest in discovering more information about world issues and soon afterward wanted to share my newfound knowledge with the world.
at this site, you will find statistics on world and american poverty, the causes of it, possible solutions, and organizations that i recommend, as well as facts and some opinions on other things going on in the world. enjoy!

random fact of the week:
the three richest people in the world have assets that exceed the combined national income of the 48 least developed countries and the worlds 225 riches people have assests equal to the annual income of the bottom half of the worlds population
